From Ebay Zero to Power-Selling Hero: Don’t Be That Random Ebay Guy
If I could convey only one concept to someone who was about to start selling on Ebay, it would be this: no one has ever purchased anything on Ebay with this in mind--"I think I'll buy something on Ebay from some random guy and pay more than I would at the store down the street." No one has ever said that. Not once. That is why Ebay sellers who appear to be "that random guy" always fail miserably. It's not enough to simply be professional and responsible. You have to make an active effort to appear professional and responsible. To begin with, you must actually have a good deal. There are dozens of liquidators and wholesale outlets. If you do your research, you should have no problem finding good prices on anything you want to sell. I list a number of the best ones in my book. Once you have something good to sell and a good source to buy it from, you have to decide how you are going to present it. At this point, you are giving your customers a good deal --which is important--but if you don't present it as a good deal, they will have no way of knowing. One way you can do this is by setting yourself apart from the pack with a unique selling proposition: tell potential customers exactly why they should shop at your store over other Ebay sellers' stores. For instance, if you know that the sellers in your category who undersell you can only do it because they are selling damaged or refurbished products, then tell that to your customers. Let them know that your products may cost a few more dollars. . .but if they buy it somewhere else for less on Ebay, it is probably broken. You will also want to add extra services and guarantees to your product that no one else offers. For example, you could give free support or free shipping. Or you could guarantee to ship everything within 24 business hours of purchase. Or you could bundle your product with other products. Whatever you do, your goal should be to gain a competitive edge over big sellers by adding an unquantifiable amount of value to your item. . . .but even this is not enough to make you appear professional and responsible. You must frame your products in a template that looks professionally-designed. You will need to either learn HTML or purchase a template from Ebay or elsewhere. In the end, you need to ask yourself this: "if I stumbled over this auction, would I think it was professional--or would I immediately move on?" It is also a good idea to ask another person what they would do, since it is often hard to judge your own work. In addition to this, you will want to operate like a real business would. You should email your customers with shipping confirmation numbers. You should be polite to customers and use a systematic process to conduct all transactions and customer interactions. Everything I mentioned in this lesson is relatively simple. Most of it can be accomplished in a matter of hours; however, the vast majority of Ebay sellers neglect to do it. If you put everything in this lesson into practice, you will immediately put yourself light-years ahead of all stores that look like "that random Ebay guy." ------------------------------------------------------ http://www.workathomerightnow.net/ebay.html Written by Isaiah - Want to learn "How to Profit on Ebay In Seven Days Without Spending A Single Penny"? USP on eBay
If you have dabbled at all in the world of Internet marketing, you may have heard the term "unique selling proposition" or USP. USP is a technique that Internet marketers use to set themselves apart from the competition. Internet marketing is highly competitive and highly saturated. In order to be successful, it is vital that the Internet marketer present himself as being unique and different from his competitors especially when many of them are selling the same products. It is also just as vital to have a unique selling proposition on Ebay. I am amazed at the number of Ebay sellers that are either unaware or just don't care about the importance of having a unique selling proposition. A case in point: A while back, I was researching some products on Ebay from a wholesale company c. . . .

Fed Up With eBay?
For many people, their first experience of working online involves selling products on eBay. This was how I got started back in 1998 and I know countless other people that have done the same. However, it is important to remember that eBay is not the 'be all and end all' - there is a much bigger online world out there. My reason for mentioning this is that I have spoken to three people this week who each make a decent full or part-time income on eBay but who are fed up with it and looking to move in other directions. Having sold on eBay myself, I can understand why sellers do get tired/bored/frustrated with the auction site - it is highly competitive and it takes an incredible amount of hard work to succeed. In addition, it is normally the case that the more successful you be. . . .

High-Tech Real Estate Marketing
A quick glance through the Sunday real estate ads reveals that most homes are sold the old fashioned way. By print ads and word of mouth. Truth be told, placing your home in the Sunday paper does little more than quench the ego of the agent listing your home. Demand more!
Traditional real estate marketing reaches about 70% of the people who want to buy your home. The other 30% are buyers who are out-of-area. They are the buyers who surf the web, looking for a home in the town their employer just relocated them to. They are the buyers who are looking for a retirement home, or a second home near their kids. If you are not placing your home in front of these buyers, you could be chopping thousands of dollars off the selling price of your home. Lets look at eBay for an example. Most sell. . . .

26 Tips on How to be Safe in Your eBay Selling and Buying
The irony of eBay is that as it grows to be ever more successful, it draws the unsavoury element of the internet towards it. I'm talking about people who make it their business to attempt to defraud you and I in our eBay and PayPal transactions.
Of course, not all dodgy dealings on eBay are fraudulent. Some are just mischievous. Others are by chancers, who perhaps reckon their victims won't be bothered to pursue them. Whoever causes it, it's left to the targeted buyer or seller to try and sort out the problem. All that we as users can do is to be extremely vigilant and cautious in all our eBay and PayPal activities. Here is a list of practical steps, in no particular order, which buyers and sellers can take to help avoid becoming the next victim. Hopefully you are already aware. . . .
